Your degree doesn’t limit your destiny — Especially in Tech
Recently, I had the opportunities to interview for a role and I was reminded of how often we’re judged by our degrees.
Some still believe that if you didn’t study engineering, you can’t belong in tech.
For me, this is not true.
Because I didn’t come from a tech major.
I came from a political science background — and I’ve spent the last few years proving that curiosity and adaptability matter more than credentials.
Here’s what I’ve done in the tech parts:
- Worked directly with developers, UI/UX teams, QA, and product owners
- Translated technical systems into human stories that connect, educate, and inspire to others across the team and customers
More than anything, I’ve been the bridge — the person who connects technical and non-technical teams, aligns goals, clarifies confusion, and brings people together.
I help create unity across working, and across ways of thinking.
“I don’t code it professionally but I understand the logic behind it— this is why I can explain it to others.”
Your degree doesn’t limit your path —
your mindset, effort, and heart do.
Btw, thank you for every lesson in my life. 💖
